Dr. James DeCarli
Injury and Neuroepidemiologist | Public Health Professional| Researcher
Bridging neuroscience and public health to prevent injury and promote healthier lives.

Although I am new to book publishing, I bring over 15 years of experience as a researcher, author of scientific articles and educational materials in neuroscience and public health, and an Injury and Neuroepidemiologist dedicated to injury and disease prevention. I hold leadership positions in injury and disease prevention initiatives and am the founder and leader of Public Health Behavior Solutions and Pro Consumer Safety—both organizations operate globally, providing multidisciplinary research services and public health programs across multiple countries and communities worldwide. These upcoming books mark my first venture into sharing my insights and stories with a broader audience.

I am excited to embark on this new journey, and I look forward to sharing my passion and ideas with you. Stay tuned for updates on my first book and the projects in progress!

Overview of My Work and Themes

My focus is on translating complex scientific research into understandable, relevant insights for everyday life. I explore how early experiences, cultural backgrounds, and history influence our brains—insights that can lead to healthier, more resilient communities. By bridging science, history, and storytelling, I aim to foster greater understanding, curiosity, and connection.

With over 15 years of experience in neuroscience and public health, I am a leader in childhood injury and disease prevention. I specialize in making intricate research accessible through compelling stories and insights. My work examines how early trauma and stress impact brain development, health, and behavior—ultimately aiming to improve prevention strategies, education, and healthier choices across the lifespan.

Continued Professional Commitment

I remain actively involved in public health research and continue to serve as a provider in health education. This ongoing engagement allows me to stay connected to the latest developments, challenges, and practical insights in the field. By integrating current research and real-world experience into my work, I strive to ensure that my books and educational efforts are grounded in the most relevant and accurate information.
